"It is with deep regret that the Jacksonville FOP Foundation Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Jacksonville Guns N Hoses scheduled for April 18th in the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. With the uncertainty of the coronavirus and the health of our fighters and fans in question we have made this decision.
The impact of this cancellation will be widespread because Jacksonville Guns N Hoses is not only one of the most widely anticipated amateur sporting events in Jacksonville, it has been the major fundraiser for the FOP Foundation for the past 21 years. All proceeds from this event support local charities like Concerns of Police Survivors, Dreams Come True, MDA, Police Athletic League, 5 Star Veterans Center and many more.
I want to thank our fighters who have been training since January for this event, all the support staff (Jacksonville Guns N Hoses Committee) and especially Tom Waarum and Earl Acosta who have put in countless hours to make the 22nd Annual Jacksonville Guns N Hoses a success.
We hope to be back bigger and better than ever in 2021.
